Play vs NOVA, the computer

This page starts a practice match against NOVA. The public queue is not opened. The ball is local, the rally waits for your first tap or key, and the score is first to 5. Nothing you do here changes Elo or country points.

Why play the computer

NOVA is the house player for warming up, learning the angle of a return, and trying weapons without another person on the clock. Missile, Curve, Widen, and Smoke all work. An extra practice rocket, if you have one, can be spent against NOVA only. The server refuses that advantage in a human match.

Talk stays hidden, because there is no person to speak with. When you want a real opponent, open online multiplayer or send a challenge link. The same court, the same controls, and the same no-signup rule apply there. Mouse, A and D, arrow keys, or the phone drag bar all move the paddle.
